This day marks the incorporation of Pipit Fund. It adopted the existing
projects started in the community of Calamba, Laguna by Gilbert Henry Lee,
Eunice Bejar-Lee and Estela Bejar as private individuals.
> May 22, 2004
Pipit Fund, Inc. held its 1st Annual Fundraising Dinner-Dance at the
newly-renovated Lincoln Community Center in Daly City, California. Attended
by many eager partners in mission, the event was highlighted by
native Filipino dancers, an exhibit of Pipit Fund and its various activities
and a silent auction that provided funding for this year's programs.

PIPIT Fund
Pipit
Fund is a non-profit, public benefit corporation based in
California that partners with communities in the United
States and the Philippines that support and fund development
in the areas of economics, education, environment and
culture. It aims to increase awareness of underdevelopment,
its causes and effects, and create the means and solutions
for community self-reliance and advancement.
Started by Gilbert Henry
Lee, Eunice Bejar-Lee and Estela Bejar, Pipit Fund
evolved out of more than twelve (12) years of linkage and
work with underdeveloped schools, church, and barrio
grassroots community councils.
Pipit Fund focuses on providing opportunities for advancement
and continual progress through educational scholarship,
leadership training, youth development, books for literacy for
community libraries and empowerment of women through livelihood
projects, skills development, micro-lending and cooperatives.
Our Mission
To increase
awareness of underdevelopment, its causes and effects and to
create the means and solutions to overcome them.
To develop
and foster partnership between US and Philippine communities
in the areas of economics, education, environment and
culture.
To develop
linkages between the Philippine diaspora in the US and
individuals, families, organizations, and communities in the
Philippines.
To provide
avenues for Filipino-Americans to support community
development in the Philippines.
